NoNoNostr at FOSDEM 2026 (almost)
As a followup of our previous (and first) Nostr adventure at FOSDEM 2025 (see my review here), we submitted the following applications for FOSDEM 2026:
- a Nostr devroom
- a Nostr stand
- a main talk about relays
All of the above have been declined by the organization. So there will be almost no Nostr at FOSDEM 2026. Here is the list of all accepted stands and developer rooms.
Together with https://opensourcevillage.org/ we will organize some Nostr fringes.
For the Collaboration and content management devroom I've applied for talk / demo about POSSE content with Drupal using Nostr. That submission is accepted. Next month I will prepare this 30-min talk and will do a try-out at the next Tech Tuesday gathering (January 13 2025) at Wonders of Work. Everyone is welcome to join and I will try to setup a livestream (and record it) as well!
Nostr at the Noderunners conference

At the very first Noderunners conference Jurjen and I did a keynote about Why Nostr needs noderunners.

Nostr Workshop at Bitcoin Amsterdam 2025
With the help of Constant I had the honour to give a Nostr Workshop at the Bitcoin Amsterdam 2025 conference. The room was full, I didn't expect that. Please checkout the recording: https://youtu.be/Eu0rNhmENXQ.
Here is the presentation I had prepared: https://20251114.nostrver.se/
Web of Trust foundation
In november 2025 together with Jeroen and Constant, I co-founded the Web of Trust foundation. This foundation is now a legal entity in The Netherlands under the RSIN number 868705251. As of this writing, we're managing all the administrative payload to get the foundation fully up and running. Here is the website we're currently working out: https://weboftrustfoundation.com.
Kubo.watch
Part of our Web of Trust foundation initiative, we're working on a project called Kubo.watch. The goal is to build a Nostr application for our youngsters and to have a YouTube Kids alternative (because YouTube Kids is broken) where parents have full agency over the media content their children are interacting with.
Nuxtstack

Similar to MKstack (used by shakespeare.diy to create Nostr web applications) I've created a stack for building web applications using Nuxt (which uses the Vue Javascript framework). The reason why I did this is because I saw Jeroen struggling (burning tokens) using Replit for building the Web of Trust Foundation and Kubo.watch websites. Now he should be able to use Nuxtstack to accomplish the same but with a far more convenient (cheaper!) workflow. This is the theory, we have not started to validate this in practice.
Here is the current stack: https://getstacks.dev/stack/naddr1qvzqqqrhl5pzqpnrnguxe8qszsshvgkvhn6qjzxy7xsvx03rlrtddr62haj4lrm3qqykuatcw3ehgctrdvta6d66.
With this Stack template you should be able to develop an application almost from scratch using a AI agent (so far I've only used Goose). You can also instruct the agent to use one of the great Nuxt templates as a boilerplate. Here is a screenshot of a first attempt where I used the Nuxtship template as a starting point:
